Vision of Time and Space

My husband and I began dating in high school, and it quickly became clear that we had found a life partner in one another. We spent countless hours sharing our hopes and dreams for the future. In 2014, we welcomed our daughter into the world, and in 2022, we moved across the country from Florida to Washington State- two things we had dreamed about. Though life has not unfolded exactly as we once imagined, we have experienced every chapter side by side.
The idea for Vision of Time and Space came to me one day as I was staring into his eyes. I imagined the iris expanding outward, transforming into a nebula. At that point in our lives, we were having deep conversations about purpose, perception, how we process the world, and how we connect with one another. To me, the fusion of an eye and a nebula symbolizes those complex, intangible qualities of existence, as well as the way we envision and dream about the future.

When I look at this image now, it brings me back to the years we spent innocently idealizing life and imagining what our future might hold. Along the way, I have learned that reality is often far less dreamy than we expect. Yet somehow, my time with him always is.
